Dr. Solomon Tebeje

Dr. Solomon Tebeje Gizaw is an Associate Professor of Biochemistry at Addis Ababa University. He was a Postdoctoral Associate at Indiana University, USA and had his PhD from Hokkaido University, Japan. He got two master’s degrees: MSc in Biochemistry from Andhra University and MA in Project Management from Addis Ababa University.
A chemist, biochemist, project manager, mentor, a resourceful and hardworking professional who has strong skills and a wealth of experience in the leadership and management of various collaborative research, thematic projects, and project management. Dr. Solomon’s areas of expertise and career interest include full-time in the fields of biochemistry and OMICS research, biomarker discovery, capacity building, vaccine development, innovation and technology, quality management, industrial management, and/or humanitarian projects and program management.

He leads the Core Laboratory of the College of Health Sciences, AAU. He is a BOD member of EPAA and the founder and Secretary of the Ethiopian Biochemists Association (EBA). He is an Africa Coordinator for the Core-to-Core Asia-African Project.
